Joyce Ellen Lillian Belansky (nee Hamm) - passed away peacefully on December 13, 2018 at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. Joyce would have been 61 on December 20. Born and raised in Welland Ontario, she was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Belansky, beloved mother to Lisa (Jacob) and infant daughter Joyce, dear sister to the late Wilbur (Sue) & Richard (Coco, Mary Lou) Hamm, and loving daughter to the late Albert and Joyce Hamm. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joyce’s life was the embodiment of strength, determination, resilience and kindness, which shone through in everything she did. Always ready to give to those she loved, she pursued her passions and creative projects like knitting and crochet, and was a longtime volunteer with the Sunset Cruisers Car Club. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by her friends and family. A celebration of life will be held in Joyce’s honour in her hometown of Welland, Ontario. The date and details are to be determined. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, your kind donations can be made to Lupus Canada.
