Helen Joan Fillatre (nee:Taylor) June 2, 1927 – January 15, 2018 Passed peacefully away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Helen Joan Fillatre at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Keith Fillatre (Peggy), Ernie Fillatre (Rosemary), Janice Fillatre, Linda Pauls (George), daughter-in-law Levinia Fillatre; sister Edith Wheeler, sister-in-law Billie Taylor; grandchildren: Laura, Connie, Brad, Renita, Andrew, Matthew, Kerry, Ryan, Brandon, Maxwell, Alexander, Maria; great grandchildren: Tommy, Alexandra, Charlie, Henry, Julian and Zia, as well as a large number of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Max Fillatre, sons Kerry Fillatre, Max Fillatre Jr., grandson Michael Martin, sisters Ena (Douglas) Alexander, Jessie (Tim) Stratton, Gertrude (Jack) Blundon, Marion (Gus) Baggs, brothers: Harold Taylor, Frank (Lorraine) Taylor, brother-in-law Tom Wheeler. Special thanks to her homecare workers Barb, Louise, Michelle and Jackie, the staff at Bayshore Estates and to the angels who cared for her at Palliative Care.Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Wednesday during the hours 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will take place Thursday, January 18th, 2018 at 2:00 pm from The Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, Main Street with Arch Bishop Percy Coffin officiating followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
