It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pius Tatchell announce is passing at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders on Friday, January 4th, 2019 at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 55 years, Melvie; daughters Margaret (Joe) Gaulton, Rachel Tatchell and Nancy (David) Tatchell; sons Rick, Duane (Rachel), Kelvin (Effie) and Reg (Michelle Rumbolt); nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one expected grandchild; brother Isaac; as well as a large circle of family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Isaac and Alicia Tatchell, brothers Gordon, Gerald, Sandy, Walter, Stanley, Gabriel, Anthony, Ron and Thomas. Visitation will take place from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Castor River North beginning Saturday afternoon. Family service Sunday, January 6 at 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 11:00 AM followed by the interement at the church cemetery.
