It is with great sadness the family of Cindy Lucy Patey announce her passing on January 4, 2019 at the age of 54 years. Cindy passed away at The Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre in Port Saunders surrounded by her family and friends. She leaves with loving memories her sons: Jacob and Robert (Sharleen); granddaughters: Selena and Abby; sister June (Wayne); brothers: Sandy (Cheryl) and Mick (Jessie) and the father of her children Rob (Rob). She also has a large number of nieces and nephews and a huge circle of friends who will miss her dearly. Cindy was predeceased by her Father and Mother Jacob “Jake” and Jillian “Dolly” Gould and her sister Rosalee. Cindy will be remembered by all who knew her as a funny, caring, and loving woman. She made a huge impact on the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Cindy was also well known for her cooking, specifically her battered chicken which was a hot commodity whenever it was on the menu. To know her was to love her and her compassion and non-judgmental attitude for people often left her with a crowd of people at her home and she welcomed them all with open arms. Cindy lost her courageous battle with cancer but left a legacy that will never be forgotten. If love could have saved her she would have lived forever. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 8 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from Good Tidings Pentecostal Church in Port Saunders from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve Jenkins officiating.
