It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Leonard Samson Jr. announce his passing at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre in Port Saunders on Friday, January 4, 2019 at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Harvey (Myrna), Vincent (Terri-Lynn), Jamie and Lynette (Frank); he also leaves to mourn his grandchildren: Kathrina, Kevin, Joey, Evan and Liam; stepmother Mary Samson; mother-in-law Carmen Perry; siblings: Effie (Harold), Bride, Vera (Wilfred), Eunice (Herb), Jerry (Rosalind), Morris (Sheila), Jean (David) and Dion (Danette); sister-in-law Annie; brother-in-law Milvin; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. James was predeceased by his wife Sheila Samson (Perry), mother Dorothy Patey Samson, father James Samson Sr., sister Dolly Lavers, brothers Lloyd Samson, Harvey Samson and Phillip Samson, nephews Kirby Perry, Vashon Tatchell and Jarvis House. Special thank you to the staff at the Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre, we could never thank you enough. Family and friends may visit Trinity Pentecostal Church in River of Ponds on Sunday, January 6 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Monday, January 7 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., family service at 7;00 p.m. on Monday from where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Danny Boyd officiating. Cremation to follow.
