ALFRED HAROLD HUMPHRIES CORNER BROOK, NL Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Alfred Humphries at the age of 92 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife, Elsie; children: Leone (Jim) Dalley, Corner Brook, Harold (Genevieve) Humphries, Dartmouth, NS, Colin (Linda), Humphries, Corner Brook, Olga (Daniel) Skinner, Corner Brook, Terrence (Eileen) Humphries, St. John’s, Alfred (Doreen) Humphries, Corner Brook, Elaine (Boyd) Taylor, Corner Brook, Glenda (Warren) Tourout, Halifax, NS, and Alexander Humphries, Corner Brook; 17 grandchildren: Darlene, Debbie, Brian, Paul, Chad, Nicole, Tracey, Lori, Dale, Amy, Pamela, Alfred, Chris, Angela, Amanda, Brandon and Shannon; 14 great grandchildren; brother: Albert Humphries, Northern Arm; sisters: Grace Inder, Northern Arm, Julie Humphries, Northern Arm and Muriel Starkes, Nipper’s Harbour; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his first wife, Millicent (nee Ball), grandson: James Dalley; sisters: Beatrice and Alice; parents: Arthur and Delcie. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 6th at 2:00 p.m. from Humber United Church, Clarence Street. Reverend Kathy Brett officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery.
