It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lorne Lloyd Piercey announce his passing at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 82 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Geraldine; sons Mark Goosney (Tanya), Michael Goosney, Tina and his three grandchildren, Alissa and Timothy Goosney and Felicity Field-Goosney; sister, Jean Sharpe, brothers John, Linden and Ian Sharpe, as well as many relatives and friends. Predeceased by his grandparents Amy and Herbert Piercey, sister Regina (Doll) Pennell, Father Lloyd Sharpe and Mother Frances (Fran) Piercey (Clarke). Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 10 Clinic Drive on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m.; from where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 6th at 2:00 with Majors Fred and Louise Pond officiating. Interment will follow at the Interdenominational cemetery on Wight’s Road. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch no. 3, PTSD Support Group.
