Dearest Al, Jonathan, Sarah and all Family and Loved Ones of Delia,
We are sad and sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. So many fond, fun, warm memories of our times together and how passionate she was like insisting your holidays could wait so you could be our Best Man 29 years ago. I loved our weekend BBQ at her minihome premarriage ! Distance has kept us apart for many years but I know Delia to be so truly beautiful inside and as out, loving, caring , strong and gentle. May God Bless you all and give you courage and peace to face your difficult days ahead.

Mrs, Halbot, family and friends of Delia,
My heart's been in Labrador these past few days ... remembering Delia. We "went to different schools together". The memories of our childhood on 10th Street and Pleasant Avenue followed by those of our years at MUN on our journey to adulthood are all oh-so-happy and pleasant. And even after university, if she found herself in my corner of the world, Delia always managed to find the time to track me down. And for this I shall remain ever grateful.
Sending love with wishes for peace and comfort to Delia's family and her dear friends as you move through the days and weeks ahead. The world has indeed lost a beautiful soul.

I was both shocked and saddened to hear of Delia's sudden and untimely passing. Please accept my sincerest condolences.
I served with Delia on the Provincial Advisory Council for the Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities, under the Department of Children, Seniors, and Social Development, 2010-2017. Delia was very involved, spoke with passion and from the heart, was extremely knowledgeable, caring, yet fun-loving, to mention a few noteworthy traits. She often referenced Jonathan, and especially Sarah, during our deliberations, and in casual conversations [and a scattered time Al].
Additionally, Delia was a member of the Supportive Living and Housing Committee, Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Community Living, of which I have been President since 2010. Her expertise in that area, and others on the Association's Agenda, was very valuable in advocating for persons with intellectual challenges, and their families throughout our entire province. She was our main link to the Happy Valley-Goose Bay Region, and will be sadly missed.
No doubt, you all have your own many memories to cherish and ponder.
May God give you inner strength and peace at this time of bereavement.
May you also celebrate a life well-lived: "Well done thou good and faithful servant." R.I.P. Delia.

Words are very difficult to express the lost that you all are feeling today. Delia put her heart and soul into the Snowflake Skating club. She has touched so many young people in the skating world. She dedicated her life and the many countless hours in trying to make the best for each child that entered the arena. There were many words of encouragement for each competitor before stepping on the ice "you got this and most importantly have fun". Even the cheering from the stands. Each one of the girls will forever carry their own special memory of you. You have earned your wings, you have fought a great fight in the past months and you will be missed at the rink. It is so heartbreaking to write this condolence to Delia's family who she loved so much. We met in university in 1977 and instantly became a close friend and part of my family during many weekend visits. There would be years we would not see each but when we met it was like we was never apart and stay up late hours to catch up. Delia was a sweet, kind hearted and compassionate lady and her love and admiration for her family was amazing.
