George Jacque Nuna Sr.

Passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 19th, 2019 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre, Happy Valley Goose Bay, George Jacque Nuna Sr. of Sheshatshiu at the age of 76 years. Leaving to mourn are his wife Manikatinen Nuna; children: Anne (Simon), David (Nancy), Edward, Philip (Mary Jane) and Tenesh (Randy); sister, Rose Montaque, brother Sebastian Nuna (Christine); 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Sebastian and Philomena Nuna; brothers Apenam and Pien Nuna; Sisters Philomena Penunsi, Mary May Rich and Mary Agnes Abraham. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Aspen Drive in Happy Valley Goose Bay on Thursday from 4:30 to 6:30 and from the family residence in Sheshatshiu on Friday after 12 noon. The funeral service will be held Saturday, February 23rd at 1:00 p.m. from the CYN Building in Sheshatshiu with interment to follow at the church cemetery.
