It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sophie Roberts on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the age of 79. She will be fondly remembered by her husband of 60 years, William (Billie),  daughter Alvina (Reg O’Brien), son James (Donna), 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers: Levi (Tamsie), Eldred (Tena), Lawrence (Emily), Michael (Shirley), and Dorman (Nina), sisters: Lucy Ann (Jerome), Sylvia, Eileen (Eben) and Alice (Lloyd), as well as a large circle of other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents: Michael and Clarissa Normore, and brothers, Herbert and Llewelyn. Her love for her family and friends was known and felt by all who knew her.  We ask that she be remembered in your thoughts and prayers. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, March 19, 2019 and 2:00 p.m. at the United Church in Forteau. The family would like to extend their gratitude and love to all of the health care professionals who cared to her needs during her journey over the past 3 ½ years, but most specifically the staff at the Forteau Health Centre who showed true compassion and love to her in the last few weeks - it will never be forgotten.  We would also like to extend heartfelt thanks to all who called, visited, provided prayers, food and comfort during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home.
