It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fraser Borden announce his passing on Sunday, March 17th, 2019 at his residence at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sisters and brothers: Judy Vinton (Chuck), Donna Cox (Charlie), Sharon Borden, Lois Randell and Kevin Borden; brothers and sisters-in-law: Jack and Isaac (Rose) George, Barb O’Blenis and Elaine Graham;  he will be dearly missed by his pet, Jay; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Marilyn (nee George), March 1, 2017; parents Elmo and Lily Borden, Sister Sandra (Wayne) Mansfield and Mother and Father-in-law John and Ada George. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 2:00 p.m. from the Salvation Army Temple, O’Connell Drive with Major Frank Johnson officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the SPCA (NL West SPCA, 10 Connors Road, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 3G4) or to the charity of one’s choice.
