Obituary of Hilda Catherine Blanchard

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Hilda Blanchard announce her passing at the QEII Health Sciences Center in Halifax, NS on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the age of 76 years.  She leaves behind with fond and loving memories her children:  Stella (Shawn) Chaffey, Dwayne (Orena White), Vivian (Rodney) Jenkins.  Theresa (Brent) Sharpe, Adrian (Pam); 11 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchild; sister Hazel Bursey and brother in law Raymond Blanchard as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Kenneth & Catherine Balsom; husband William; daughter Karen.  Visitation will take place from St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL on Friday, March 29, 2019 between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.  Inurnment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Shallop Cove will take place following the service.  As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes foundation or the heart & Stroke Foundation.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
