Passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at Corner Brook Long Term Care, Edith Matilda Snooks at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her son Rodney (Melinda) and daughter Madonna (Carlos). Edith also leaves her five grandchildren, Christopher, Zabrina (James), Tristan, Duncan, and Nathan; four great-grandchildren Nathaniel, Marie, Jaxon and Isla; her sister Marie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Edith is predeceased by her husband Rex Alfred Snooks, January 15, 2015, her parents William and Sarah Gale; Sister Betty; Brother Joe and mother and father in-law Alfred and Lena Snooks.A special thank you to her niece Marina Brothers, for her attentiveness and friendship shown to Mom over the years.Cremation has taken place Humber Valley Crematorium. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 218 Curling street on Wednesday, July 10th from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Memorial service will take place Thursday, July 11th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Mary's Anglican church, Curling with Archbishop Stewart Payne officiating followed by interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
