April 21, 1926 – April 8, 2019

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Phyllis Holmans announce her peaceful passing on Monday, April 8, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 92 years. Phyllis was one of seven children born to Henry James and Clara Bell Rowe (nee Watts) of Trinity, Trinity Bay. She was predeceased by her husband Jeremiah (Jerry), son Alexander (Bud), daughter Paula Porter, brothers Henry Rowe and Frederick Rowe and sister Mary Ryan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her granddaughter Yana Porter; grandsons: Dean Porter (Jennifer) and Bradley Holmans; daughter-in-law Debbie Holmans; son-in-law Earl Porter; sisters: Dora Hayter (Doug), Patricia Fowlow (Haze) and Shirley Goldsworthy (Ross); sisters-in-law: Kay Rowe and Shirley Rowe; and a large host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. Phyllis also treasured her church family at All Saints Church where she was an active member all her life, and the staff at Mountain View House where she resided. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 11 at 10:00 a.m. from All Saints Anglican Church with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to All Saints Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
