GEORGE ROCK BUCKLE Corner Brook, NL June 14th, 1930 - December 24th, 2008 It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Rock Buckle announce his passing on Wednesday, December 24th, 2008 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 78 years. He will always be loved and remembered by his wife and best friend of 58 years Isabel (nee Baldwin), children: George (Karen), Catherine (Tom), Dave (Mary), Brian (Gaylene), Diane (Rod), Donna (Hal), Pat, John (Anne), Mary Lou (Ruby), Michelle (Ben) and Darlene (Dave), daughter-in-law Elizabeth, his precious grandchildren: Jason (Charlie), Jennifer (Peter), Heather (Dave), Jonathan, Geoffrey (Michelle), Justin, Scott (Corriena), Krista, Stephen (Trina), Stephanie, Tim, Peter, Holly, Scott, Sara (Chris), Marc, Travis and Stephanie, his beautiful great-grandchildren: Declan, Connor, Jayde, Aiden, Isaac, Lillian, Xavier, Tristan, Ryane and Jessica, brother Ned (Marion) Buckle, sisters: Marg Buckle and Nel Kelly. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends which the number is too great to even begin to list. He was predeceased by his parents Bill and Mary Buckle, son Michael, daughter Christina, brother Kevin, sisters Laura Penny, Mary Moulton, Joan Buckle, parents-in-law Ned and Effie Baldwin. Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 29th at 10:30 AM from All Hallows Parish, Humber Road with Father Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation.
