It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leona Gladys Brake announce her passing on Monday, April 15, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Dorothy (Eric) Hulan, Irene (Arthur) Shears, Dennis, Glenn (Lisa), and Susan (Todd), Hulan; grandchildren: Megan, Laura, Dean, Lee, Tina, Kara, Victoria, Brandon, Brittany, Rebecca, and Riley; great grandchildren: Nicholas, Connor, Braeden, Jaxson, Jaelen, Avery, and Alexis; brother: Roy (Charlotte), sister: Beatrice and a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her Husband John; Infant children: Leona, John, and Walter, parents: Francis and Susan Fillatre, sister: Martha, and brothers: Edmond and William. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at Townsite Cemetery on Wednesday, April 17th at 2 p.m. with Rev. Tanya White officiating. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada ML Chapter 304-66 Kenmount Rd St. John’s, NL A1B 3V7.
