Our mother, Laura Wells passed peacefully away, surrounded by her children on Sunday, April 21st, 2019 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care home at the age of 88 years. Leaving to mourn, children: Jocelyn Pawley (Jerry), Judy Mosher, Gary (Jennifer), Debbie Wells-Moore (Frank “JR”), Donna Mitchell (Dean) and Jamie (Sharon); grandchildren: Rod, Jeff, Cory, Adam, Jason, Kyle, Jordan, Lesley, Jena, Ashley and Stephanie; great grandchildren: Felicia, Tyson, Mason, Evan and Matthew; sisters: Audrey Pike (Frank), Joan Motty and Shirley Barnes; brother Carl Brake (Rita); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary (Minnie) Brake, son-in-law Hollis Jacobs and brother-in-law Clarence Barnes. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Tuesday and Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 25th at 10:30  A.M. from Sacred Heart Parish with Fr. Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Townsite. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
