It is with great sadness that we the family of the late Marjorie Brake announce her passing on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with loving and treasured memories her husband Wilbur of 61 years; son: Byron (Judy), daughter: Lorna (Blair), and Colleen (Predeceased); grandchildren: Christopher (Kim), Stephen (Victoria), Danielle, Mark (Amanda), Brian (Theresa), Michael, Sarah, and Ryan; great-grandchildren: Gwendolyn, Olivia, Nathan, Cadence, Caleb and Addison. Also left to mourn brothers and sisters: Barbara (Clarence) Billard, Bill (Nora) Burton, Lorne (Betty) Burton, Marie (Charlie) Baldwin, Norma (Wayne) Barsi, Gary (Myrtle) Burton; brothers and sisters in-law: Mildred (Wallace) Shears, Eric (Dar) Brake, Allan (Darlene) Brake and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Hannah and Wilfred Burton; brother Edward, sister in-law Barbara, and niece Paula Burton, parents in-law Sidney and Wilhelmina Brake; brothers and sisters in-law: baby Gerald, Una (Sidney) White, Hilda (Otto) Payne, Aubrey Brake, Max (Evelyn) Brake, James (Lorraine) Brake, Millicent (Eric) Ford, Evelyn Gardiner, Bridget Brake, Nephew Ralous Brake, and nieces Annette Felker, and Nadine Hubley. Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from St. Mary’s Anglican Church, in Curling on Friday, May 3rd at 11 a.m. with The Most Rev. S. Stewart Payne officiating. Interment to follow at Townsite Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations my be made to St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling.
