ROSTON PATEY River of Ponds, NL It is with great sadness that the family of the late Roston Patey announce his passing on Monday, December 22, 2008 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 81 years. He leaves to mourn his wife Grace; children: Carl, ON, Wilfred (Vera), and Loman (Kathleen), River of Ponds, Mae (Wade) Alley, St. David’s, Roy (Muriel), and Melvin, River of Ponds, Mildred (David) Hutchings, Cow Head, Marina (Eugene) Caines, Port Saunders, Daphne (Vincent) Gouin, ON; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Isaac and Effie Patey; brother Gardiner and sister Dorothy. The family received friends at St. Peters Anglican Church in River of Ponds on Tuesday, from where the funeral service took place on Wednesday, December 24th at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Tanya White officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in River of Ponds. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
