Lawrence Patrick Bolger
July 31, 1928 – May 31, 2019
Lawrence Bolger (90 years 10 months) passed away at Antoinette-Malouin Unit, Lourdes de Blanc Sablon, Quebec, on May 31, 2019. He was born in L’Anse au Loup, NL on July 31, 1928 to Bridget (O’Brien) Bolger and David Bolger.
Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his children: David (Barbara), Patricia (Royle), John, Rose Marie (Jean Louis), Regina, Annette (Fernand). Predeceased by his wife, Mary; son, Reginald; daughter, Yvonnette.
Also leaving behind to treasure his memory: – The O’Brien Family and the Bolger Family. He was only sixteen months old when his mom died. He was then raised by his Aunt Theresa (Morency) O’Brien and his Uncle Lawrence O’Brien and their children: Ron, Alex (deceased), Reg, Adelard, Margaret, Kathleen, Elzear, Eric (deceased) and Marcel. He was raised like a brother to them.
His dad, David Bolger, would later marry Lucy Tracy and have eight children: Martin, Charlotte (Lottie), Margaret (Mag), Jose, Elizabeth (Liz), Bridget, Gertrude (Gert) and Olive. They too were his brother and sisters.
His grandchildren: Charlene, Justin, Reginald, Robert, Marcus, Gina, Marius, Patrick, Lawrence, Jonathan, Dominic, Caroline, Natasha. His great grandchildren: Alexis, Vincent, William, Danielle, Beckham, Emerson, Ezmia, Quinn, Caleb.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff that showed love and compassion to dad and his family during his two and a half years on long term at Antoinette-Malouin Unit.
A sincere thank you to Father James Yacob for masses performed at Antoinette-Malouin Unit and all the people who visited him during his stay. It was greatly appreciated by him and his family.
A sincere thank you to all who made phone calls, dropped by, brought food and helped in any way over the past number of days. We appreciated your kindness.
Visitation for the late Lawrence Bolger took place: Friday 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary. Saturday: 2:00- 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. followed by the Holy Rosary. Sunday 2:00- 9:00 followed by the Holy Rosary
The Mass of Resurrection took place on June 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Church, Blanc Sablon, Quebec. Internment followed at the Chapel of Peace, Blanc Sablon, Quebec.
