Passed peacefully away at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 Edith Mae Wheeler at the age of 90. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Glenn Wheeler (Kay), Craig Wheeler (Paulette), Cathy Wheeler; Grandchildren Ernie (Melinda), Kenny (Jennifer), Justin (Trixie), Jennifer, Ryan, Stephen; Great Grandchildren Kahlo, Finn and Kate, as well she will be missed by her good friend Claire. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1995, son Derek, sisters: Ena (Douglas) Alexander, Jessie (Tim) Stratton, Gertrude (Jack) Blundon, Marion (Gus) Baggs, Helen (Max) Fillatre; brothers Harold (Billie) Taylor, Frank (Lorraine) Taylor. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held at Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Marks Avenue Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Curling Street on Friday, June 7th at 11:00 am with The Most Reverend S. Stewart Payne officiating, followed by the interment at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Western Regional Hospital Foundation. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Western Health, most especially those on the 3rd and 5th floor and Palliative Care, your outstanding care will never be forgotten.
