It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Burton announce her passing on Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Edgar; daughters: Elaine and Linda; grandson: Brandon; sisters: Anita (George) Kean, Maude (Jim) Walsh, Janet (Dave) Hutchings, Bonnie (Blake) Crawford, Betty (Paul) Stratton and brother Alex (Cathy) Bolt; brothers in-law and sisters in-law: Tom (Teresa) Burton, Paul (Barb) Burton, Terry (Lorraine) Burton, Colleen Burton, Sean (Lori) Burton and Donna (Jerome) Pike, and a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Verna was predeceased by her parents Hubert and Jessie Bolt; parents in-law Wilson and Myrtle Burton; brother in-law Dave Burton and sister in-law June Burton. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Thursday from the hours of 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 7th at 2 pm at Memorial United Church in Curling with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to Curling Memorial United Church, Curling Street.
