It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edmund Ryan announce his passing on Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Forteau Health Centre, Forteau Labrador surrounded by his family. He was in his 82nd year.  He leaves to mourn his wife of 61 years, Eva, his children Edison Ryan (Elaine), Alice Moores (Gardner), Dale and two special nieces who were like daughters, Paula Acreman and Nellie Wight; Grandchildren; Colette, Laurie, Byron, Scott, Daniel, Craig and Kelly. Great-Grandchildren: Hayley, Noah, Makenna, Luke, Keianna, Dale, and Lexi. He also leaves behind his brothers Tom (Edna), Ron (Betty) and Sister Julia Bridle. As well he leaves behind many nieces and nephews and extended family. He was predeceased by son Lorne, Parents: Arthur and Gertrude (Howell) Ryan, brothers: Walter, Greta, Lizzie, John, Ellen, Grace, Susan and Mariam. Visitation was held on Sunday, June 9 and Monday, June 10. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 11 at 2pm from Red Bay United Church, Red Bay, NL. Officiating Clergy: Reverend Dean Sellars. Special thanks to the staff at the LTC facility in Forteau, and to his home care worker Doreen Yetman for their care and compassion.

He will be missed.
