It is with great sadness that the family of the late Sidney Chaulk announce his passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Wednesday, January 14th, 2009 at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and precious memories, his loving family: wife Annie Myrtle (nee Hardy), of 57 years; son David (Georgina), Burnt Islands; daughters: Sherry (Gus) Collier, Rose Blanche, Wilma Lee (Reuben) Taylor, Burnt Islands, Wendy (Tim), Stoney Creek, ON; grandchildren: Christopher (Vonda), Edmonton, AB, Angie (DJ), Barrie, ON, Sherry (David), Scott (Angela), all of Corner Brook, NL, Sheldon (Kristylee), Twyla (Kerry), all of St. John’s, NL, Jody (Damien), Red Deer, AB, Veronica (Travis), Fort McMurray, AB; great-grandchildren: Evan, Aiden and Kingston; brother Alex (Florence), Halifax, NS; sister Julia (Alton) Milley, Mount Pearl, NL; brother-in-law George (Kay) Hardy, Corner Brook, NL; sisters-in-law: Sandra Hardy, St. John’s, NL and Phyllis Chaulk, Halifax, NS; half sisters-in-law: Raylene (Ron) Sheaves and Diane (Jim) Anderson, all of Port Aux Basques, NL, as well as a large circle of cousins, nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his parents: Emma (nee Harris) and Thomas; brothers: Chesley and Gerald; mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary Ann (nee Keeping) and John William Hardy, and brother-in-law Reginald Hardy. Friends visited the family residence in Burnt Islands on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Funeral Service took place from St. George’s Anglican Church, Burnt Islands on Sunday, January 18th at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Father Andrew Nussey. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Anglican Cemetery, Isle Aux Morts Road. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations made to the charity of one’s choice.
