Obituary of Clara May Young

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Clara May Young announce her passing at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL on Saturday, June 22,2019 at the age of 89 years.  She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters:  Maisey Edwards, Germaine Gillam (Helmond), Mary Young, Bertha King (Allan), Bernice Young (Richard), Cathy Richard (Eric), Jean Muise, Penny Alexander (Brad), Doreen; sons: Howard, Nickie Young (Josephine), Gerry Young, Raymond Young (Regina), Leonard Young (Candace), Larry Young; 29 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends.  She is predeceased by her parents Bertha and Francis Young; husband William Young; daughters:  Mildred (Cook) Harris, Rose Correa and son Adam Young.  Visitation will take place at St. Joseph’s Parish, St. George’s, NL on Monday, June 24, 2019 between the hours of 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Father Maurice O’Quinn officiating.   Interment will take place following the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Teresa’s, NL.  As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones’ choice.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
