Raymond Mauger Port Aux Basques, NL Nov. 23, 1924 - Jan. 19, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Raymond Mauger announce his passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Monday, January 19th, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 64 years, Viola; sons: Roland (Margie), Gary (Genevieve), Paul (Pam); grandchildren: Viola (Edgar), Perry, Juanita, Amanda (Kenny), Rebecca (Terry), Jessica (Jonathan), Samantha, John; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Joshua, Morgan, Griffin, Ben; sisters: Lydia (Wilfred Voutier), Jessie (Fred Kipping), Marie Cole; sister-in-law Daisy (Robert) Jillett; brothers-in-law: Bert (Jan) Griffin, Roy (Sadie) Griffin, John Cox, Robert Jillett, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, friends and fellow seafarers. He was predeceased by daughter Maud Mauger; father Isaac Mauger; mother Maud (nee Tufts) Mauger; father-in-law George Griffin; mother-in-law Blanche (nee Anderson) Griffin; sisters: Josephine, Clara, Carrie, Evelyn, Audrey, Dora; sisters-in-law: Beulah (nee Griffin) Fudge, Georgina (nee Reid) Griffin; brothers-in-law: Steve Morrison, Ronald Rickard, William Cole, Hedley Griffin, Max Courtney. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Tuesday and Wednesday between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Wesley United Church on Thursday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Pat Ritchie officiating. Interment will follow at the United Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
