Obituary of Mildred Jane Gallant

Mildred Jane Gallant,

Stephenville, NL

October 4, 1930 – July 3, 2019

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. Mildred passed away peacefully at The Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing, NL on July 3, 2019.

Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her 5 sons:  Allan (Wynn Greenlaw) Beaver Bank, NS, Terry (Louise), St. John’s, NL, Andrew (Lena) Mount Pearl, NL, Mike (Carolyn) Mount Pearl, NL, Clarence (Joyce), Stephenville, NL; three daughters:  Suzanne Aylward, St. Lawrence, NL, Louise (Pierre) Lepaix, Mary’s Town, NL, Ann Flynn, Summerside, PEI; brothers:  Clyde Savidon (Gloria) Kippens, NL, Harold (Vina Barter) West Bay, NL; sisters:  Jerona Gallant, Stephenville, NL and Cecelia Savidon, West Bay, NL; 13 grandchildren:  Marie-Claire, Jeremy, Amy, Stephane, Lyndsey, Christopher, Kimberley, Aric, Samantha, Amelia, Alisha, Stephanie, & Emily.  She was predeceased by her husband Clarence; parents Mary and Martin Savidon; son Danny; brother Jordan Savidon and son-in-law  Jerry Aylward.

Visitation will take place at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL on Saturday, July 6, 2019 from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. and on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piccadilly, NL from 6 - 8 p.m. from where the Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Kris Mekala officiating.  Interment will take place following the service in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Piccadilly, NL.  As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
