It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel May Hynes announce her passing on Saturday, January 24th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 91st year. Ethel was a resident of the 3rd floor O’Connell Centre since April of 2008. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Stella Park, Ernie (Shirley), Hector Jr. and Beverly (Jerry) Smith, grandchildren: Alan (Nicole) Whitten, Max Jr. (Julie) Park, Terry Whitten (Scott Payne), Scottie Whitten, Connie (Jim) Keough, Carol Ann (Gerald) O’Neil, Jason Smith, Janice (Brad) Clarke and Marc Hynes, 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law: Alice Marks, Ann Frost, Maisie Hynes and Lorraine Hynes, brothers-in-law: Kevin Hynes and Bill (Rita) Hynes, special cousins Meta and Annette Chaulk, Edmund and Mary Mouland. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Hector, daughter Regina “Jean” Whitten, son Carl, sons-in-law Ken Whitten and Max Park Sr., parents William and Arabella Rolls, brother Ernest Rolls. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Tuesday 10-12 noon. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27th at 2:00 PM from All Saints’ Anglican Church, Clarence Street with Rev. Derek Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Townsite Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to All Saints’ Anglican Church Maintenance Fund.
