It is with great sadness that the family of the late Greta Irene Tapp announce her passing on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 65 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her sisters: Evelyn (Dave), and furry friend Beau, Brenda, and Geraldine; brothers: Doug, Raymond (Sharon), and Clayton (Debbie) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Greta was predeceased by her parents William and Alice Tapp; brother Dave Tapp; brothers in-law Dave Ryan and Clyde Banks. Greta was an angel, always had a big smile on her face, loved by all who knew her. She appreciated everything anyone did for her no matter if it was big or small. She always made sure that everyone had a cake on their birthday. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Sunday, August 25th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Service will take place from All Saints Anglican Church, Clarence Street on Monday, August 26th at 2: PM with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. The family would like to thank Dr. Van Wijk, Pam Moorey, Community Health Nurses, Palliative Care team, St. Claires Hospital, Leanne Marsden, and the Chaplains at the hospital for the many visits with Greta. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Kidney Foundation of Canada 10 Pippy Place St. John’s, NL A1B 3X3.
