Edith Wheeler (nee Barnes) Corner Brook, NL Passed peacefully away at Moutain View Estates, Corner Brook on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009, Edith Wheeler, age 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Roland, daughter-in-law: Cathy Wheeler; granddaughter: Kelly Wheeler; sisters: Jessie, Ida, Rita, and brothers: Harry and Enos; parents: Enos and Madeline Barnes. Left with fond and loving memories, her children: Sylvia (Neil Bursey), George (Mary), Ralph (Nancy), Marion (Pat Lewis), Enos (Carol), Gerald (Cindy), Gordon (Maxine), Richard (Ruby); grandchildren: Karen, Melissa, Martina, Scott, Catherine, Allyson, Zachery, Anna, Elliott and Jordan; great granddaughter Kaitlin; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; her special friends at the Interfaith Home Cottages and Moutainview Estates. Resting at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Friday, 7-9:00 p.m. and Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Sunday, February 1st, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Ambrose Anglican Church, John’s Beach, Reverend Nellie Thomas officiating. Interment to follow at the Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations in her memory may be made to Daffodil Place.
