Obituary of Gary Vincent Caines

Gary passed away peacefully at Rufus Guinchard Hospital, Port Saunders in the presence of his loving family on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019.  He leaves to mourn his wife Beulah (nee Rumbolt) of Bartlett's Harbour, children: Georgina (Derek) Genge of Pasadena, Tina (Michael) Pittman of Corner Brook, Toby (Marilyn) of Bird Cove; grandchildren: Kyle, Emily, Curtis, Evan and Braydon; siblings: Mabel (Gordon) Byrne of New Ferolle, Florence (Ivan) Taylor of Ottawa, Neila (Brian) Cochrane of St. John's, Sheena (Wayne) Muggeridge of Mount Pearl, Leon (Valerie) of Bartlett's Harbour and Guy (Brenda) of St. John's; many nieces, nephews, a large extended family and a wide circle of wonderful friends.  He was predeceased by parents Bernadette and Gerald Caines, and brother Alonzo Caines. His family would like to thank the staff of Rufus Guinchard Hospital and his two former home care workers, Maggie and Savannah, for their exceptional care and compassion during his illness.  A family service will be held at Sacred Heart RC Church on Friday, August 30th at 7:00 PM, as well visitation will take place at the church on Friday 2:00 - 4:00 PM and 7:00 - 9:00 PM with a funeral service on Saturday, August 31st at 11:00 AM.  Father Rossi will officiate with interment at the RC cemetery Bartlett's Harbour.  The family welcomes flowers, donations to a charity of one's choice or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.  Arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre Funeral Homes Ltd Port au Choix.
