It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alma Lee announce her passing on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 67 years. Leaving to mourn her daughters: Mary (Terry) Hayes of Grande Prairie, Shirley of Brampton, ON, Millicent (Wayne) Pike of Port au Choix, Stella (Dwight) Sparkes of Brampton, ON, Maureen of Port au Choix, Sharon (Dion) House of Port Saunders, and Lucy of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Melissa, Aaron, Alexandra, Erica, Vincent, Christa, Jillian, Shelby, Matthew, Sherry, Mandy, Jacob, and Stephen; great-grandchildren: Matthew, Dominic, Tyler, Kaylah, Ryan, Keliah and Gracie; sisters: Mary, Eileen, Ellen and Susan; brothers: Jerome, Leo and Willie, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Matthew, parents Dominic and Amy Jane Scanlon; sisters Elsie and Betty. The family received friends at Fillatre's Funeral Home in Port au Choix on Friday. The Funeral Service took place on Saturday, January 31st at 2:00 pm at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church in Port au Choix with Father Robertson officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangments were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
