It is with heavy hearts that the family of the Late Noreen Benoit announce her passing at her family residence in Flat Bay, NL on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 88 years.  She will be forever remembered and loved by her sons:  Rodney, Roger, Richard Jr., Robert, Bernard; daughter Janet; step-daughter Paulette; grandson who she raised Brian Young; 29 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; sister Geraldine Young; brother Clarence Young; sister-in-law Olive Benoit as well as many nieces, nephews other family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her parents John & Mary Young; husband Richard; daughter Judy; step-daughter Elaine; sister Eva Young; brothers: Joe Young, Albert Young and Allan Young.  She was well known for her love of singing and she often sang herself to sleep. Visitation will take place from St. Ann’s Chapel in Flat Bay on Saturday and Sunday, September 14th & 15th between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Monday, September 16, 2019 at 10 a.m. with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery will take place following the service.  As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.
