Obituary of Glenys Joyce Simms

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Glenys Joyce Simms announce her passing on Thursday, September 19, 2019 at the Labrador Health Centre in Happy Valley Goose Bay, NL at the age of 70 years.  She will be sadly missed by her husband Rennie Simms; children:  Roxanne (Roger), Blair, Rhondene (Paul) and Randi (Andrew); grandchildren:  Michael, Shannon, Caleigh and Cassie; brothers:  Ray (Polly), Lorne (Cathy); sisters:  Jean (Hector), Faye Hill, Maisie (Don), Ruby (Everett) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents: John and Alverda Compton; brothers:  Roderick and Thomas;  sisters:  Mae Bussey and Betty Gainey.  Visitation on Sunday, September 22, 2019 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 P.M. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home.  Funeral Service on Monday, September 23, 2019, 2 P.M. from the Pentecostal Church with Pastor Noble officiating.  Interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.  Special thanks to all the staff at the Labrador Health Centre and the Long Term Care Centre.  The care she received from all of the staff at the hospital and long term care was beyond amazing.  We hold the utmost respect for you all and are forever grateful.  From our family, "thank you".
