It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Alice Spurrell announce her passing on Monday, September 23, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 60 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Sterling Spurrell; son Joe (Tracy); daughter Bessie (Mitch); grandsons: Dominic and Jack; sisters: Maureen Lewis (Roy), Jean Madore (Donald), Deanna Hillier, Marie Burden (Joe) and Mary Gosse (Glen); brother Richard Burden (Maureen); mother-in-law Melita Higgins (John); brothers-in-law Tony (Daphne), Randy (Susan) and Roy (Lily); sisters-in-law: Karen (Glen) and Lisa (Max); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Donald and Mary Burden, father-in-law Joe Spurrell and nieces, nephews and other relatives. Cremation has taken place. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. from First United Church, Park Street with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
