Myrtle Caroline Childs

December 3, 1937 - September 26, 2019

Burgeo, NL 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Myrtle Caroline Childs announce her peaceful passing with her family by her side on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at the Calder Health Care Center in Burgeo at the age of 81 years. Leaving to mourn with so many fond and loving memories are her four children, Garry (Cynthia), Joyce (Dan), Joe (Pam) and Janet (Keith). her two grandsons Dekota and Benjamin, brother Allan Skinner and sister Janet Petite,  sisters in law, Hannah and Rita and brother in law Cecil; a very large number of nieces and nephews and many friends.She was predeceased by her husband George Childs, parents Snook and Elizabeth Skinner, daughter Donna and brothers Clarence, Thomas and Gerald.The family would like to express sincere gratitude of the entire staff of the Calder Health Care Center for their kindness and compassionate care during her time there.Visitation will take place from St. John the Evangelist Church on Saturday September 28th from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm.  Service will be held on Sunday September 29th at 2 pm followed by the interment at the Community Cemetery.
