It is with great sadness that the family of the late Pius Gould Sr. announce his passing at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders, on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009 at the age of 75 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Melina; sons: Pius (Jessie), Jim (Levina), Maxwell (Pauline), Wayne (Janet), and Dean (Nadine); daughters: Maxine (Don), Patsy (Jesse), and Yvonne (Jim); grandchildren Shawn, Tyson Caines, Sheldon Gould, Rendell, Ryan Gibbons, Alex, Megan Gould, Dylan, Jananya Toope, and Matt Gould; great-grandchildren Danielle, Cody Parsons, Zackary Gould, and Caleb Caines; sisters: Mary (Victor) Caines, Irene (Primus) Pittman, and Annie Pittman; brothers: Maxwell (Theresa), and Edmund, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Lily), sibilings Tom, Irene, Dorothy, Cecilia, Tom, Simon, and Tom; brother-in-law James Henry, and sister-in-law Florence. The family received friends at our Lady of Grace Church in Bird Cove on Thursday and Friday from where the funeral service took place on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 am, with Fr. Roger officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port au Choix.
