July 27, 1952 – October 18, 2019

 

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Thomas Chester Snooks announce his passing at Western Memorial Regional Health, Palliative Care Unit, on Friday, October 18, 2019 in his 68th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 44 years, Yvonne Snooks; Son: Marty (Jennifer); Daughter: Marsha (Tim); Daughter-in-law: Micki Ryan; grandchildren: Matthew Snooks and Erin Ryan. Siblings: George; Beverly (Marcel); Monique; Christine (Ross); Herman (Marissa); Eugene (Sheryl); Gordon (April). Siblings in law: Maxwell; Madonna (Terry); Irma (David); Dorothy (Alex); Bradley (Cheryl), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Thomas was predeceased by his mother: Caroline Gaulton (Ross); father Chester Wheeler (Stella); son Donnie Hunt; brother: Wayne Wheeler; mother in law: Inez Brake; father in law: Harvey Brake; Brother in law: Roger MacDonald; sister in law: Elsie Brake.

The family of Thomas Snooks would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff of Western Memorial Regional Hospital, 3A and Palliative Care Unit. Special thanks to Dr. Lafferty, Dr. Dunne, Dr. Eaton, Niece Nyle Sheppard (Willie Williams).

As per Thomas’ request, cremation has taken place.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 21st. 2019, at Holy Trinity Anglican church, Meadows, NL at 2:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or the Lung Association.

 

Just as he was, he will always be…. treasured and loved in our memories.”
