I remember Clyde as a hard worker and a hell of a hockey player!
Many times he provided exciting games at the old Hodder Memorial and I recall conversations at the old D.J. Williams store.
I remember on one Saturday evening he delivered of 4x8 sheets of plywood at our house after working all day and two hours later played hockey with such energy and toughness it was incredible
Not long after he was recruited to play hockey for Acadia University on a scholarship but he turned it down along with a couple of other of his teammates
While he will be missed he created many great hockey memories at the Hodder and was a great role model for what it was to work hard

Uncle Clyde was such a kind man and will be missed greatly. He always made us feel welcome whenever we visited. He and Aunt Jean accepted my wife and daughters into the family with loving arms. He didn't even mind when we had to tear up his deck after Jody accidentally dropped her wedding band down through the boards! So sad to see you go, Uncle Clyde. We will miss and love you always. All our love and prayers go out to Aunt Jean, Chuck, Luke and Beth during this time.

Stump was a great individual and when we moved to Deer Lake in 1991 he was one of the first people to drop into the bank and welcome us and invite me out for a coffee. That then turned into a routine for our time in Deer Lake. I still remember all the laughs we had.
