It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Phonsine Young announce her passing on Sunday, November 3, 2019 at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, NL at the age of 74 years.  She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children:  Carl (Valerie), Genevieve, Robert (Sandy), Richard (Kim); grandchildren:  Kerry, Travis, R. J., Raeya, Bobbi, Danielle, Madison, Joel; great-grandson Kolson; brother John; sisters Mary (Carl) Jesso, Josephine (Baxter) Cullimore, Venita Simon; special friends Melit Hinks & David Webb as well as nieces, nephews other family and friends.  She was pre-deceased by her parents Francis & Celestine Simon; husband Bobby; brothers Gerry and Gordon.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Sheila Dwyer and the nursing staff of the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital for their excellent care of Phonsine and support to the family during Phonsine’s illness.  Visitation will take place on Friday, November 8, 2019 between the hours of 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  The funeral mass will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10 a.m. from Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing, NL with Father Edmund Dantes officiating.  Interment in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Stephenville Crossing, NL.  As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Diabetic Association.
