Annie Lawrence Burnt Islands, NL Oct. 25, 1918 … Feb. 6, 2009 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie Lawrence announce her passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques, on Friday, February 6th, 2009 at the age of 90 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories daughters: Lillian (John), Burnt Islands, Geraldine (George), Mahone Bay, NS, Susie (Ross), Burnt Islands, Blanche (Russell), Isle Aux Morte; sons: Gordon (Renee), Halifax and Eddie (Lori-Ann), Burnt Islands; sister Julie, Georgetown, ON; brother Ralph (Cedella), Burnt Islands; daughter-in-law Ruth, Burnt Islands; 22 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Edward (1982); son Russell (2001); brothers: Ernest, Raymond, William, Frank, and Johnny; sisters: Blanche and Sarah. Friends visited the family residence in Burnt Islands on Friday evening, Saturday and Sunday. The Funeral Service was held at St. George’s Anglican Church in Burnt Islands on Monday, February 9th at 11:00 am, Father Nussey officiating. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted or donations made to the charity of one’s choice.
