It Is with great sadness that the family of the late Avellina Patricia Park announce her passing on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 54 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughter Danielle (Jon) Vaters; grandchildren: Parker, Erin and Brookie; sister Denese McCarthy; brothers: Martin Hickey (Jenny) and Monte Hickey; her special siblings: Joy Park, Marina Hackett (Kev), Jean Park (Cliff), Luella Sheehan (Mike), Todd Park and Angus Park; special cousins: Joseph (Denise) Park and Geneva Hickey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother and father Myra & Martin Hickey, mom and dad Laura and Angus Park, grandparents Mary Ann and James Hickey, special siblings Mary O’Connell and Alex Park. A special thank you to Dr. Ryan Jackman, Dr. Desiree Dunn, Dr. Kate Lafferty, Dr. Stephanie Atkinson and staff of 3A and the Palliative Care Unit for the exceptional care and attention provide to Avellina. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue on Monday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 13 at 3:00 p.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Chapel, St. Mark’s Avenue with Rev. Effie Organ officiating. Interment to follow at a later date. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
