CAINES Donald Joseph Port au Choix, NL 	 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Donald Caines announce his passing on Wednesday, February 11th, 2009 at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Mary, daughters: Valda (George) White, Torbay and Adoralyn (Derm) Kenny, St. Phillips; sons: Benedict (Michelle Surmay), Wainwright, Alberta and Cedric (Kimberley), Port au Choix; grandchildren: Lauren, Sarah, Emma and Christopher, sisters: Eileen Beaudoin, Yellowknife, Bernice (Frank) Gould and Noreen (Jerome) Scanlon, brothers: Adelor (Elizabeth), Gordon (Aggie) and Clifford (Ann) all residing at Port au Choix. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Gertrude (Gert) and Lawrence (Laud), grandson Alex, brothers Raphael, Edmund and Lawrence. The family will be receiving friends at Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix on Thursday and Friday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 14th at 11:00 AM from St. Theresa’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers the family will be accepting donations towards the purchase of items for the Palliative Care Unit at Rufus Guinchard Health Centre, Port Saunders.
