It is with great sadness that the family of the late Naissa Penashue announce her passing on November 23, 2019 at the Labrador Grenfell Health Centre at the age of 82 years.  She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren:  David Penashue, Stephen Penashue, Jill Collier, Bernice P. Benuen, Barbara Penunsi, Robin Penashue, Helen Penashue, Ann Philomena Penashue, Karen Penashue, Beatrice Clowe; 39 great-grandchildren; 31 great-great-grandchldren;  sisters:  Margarite Rich, Julianna Hill, Helen Hart as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Paul Tuma and Mani Asta; husband Simeo Penashue; children:  Paul Penashue and Clara Penashue; brothers:  Matshias Pone, Jerome Pone.  Visitation on Monday, November 25, 2019 from 7 – 9 P.M. at Fillatre’s Funeral Home and Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 2 – 9 P.M. at 236 Cornation Street, Sheshatshiu.  Funeral, Wednesday, November 27, 2019, 11 A.M. at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Sheshatshiu with Fr. Joe Vellankanni officiating.
