It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and sister, Bridget “Bride” Ellen Greene on Monday, December 9th, 2019 at Western Memorial Hospital, Corner Brook at the age of 84 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Ronald Greene Sr., of 66 years; nine children: Ronald Jr (Joy), Linda (Gerard), David, Violet O’Keefe (Bernie), Rick (Darlene), Barb Hynes (Jim), Maria Companion (Rob), Denise Chrismas, Dan (Mia); 21 grandchildren and 28 Great grandchildren; sister Veronica Green and sister-in-law Noreen Hackett; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents William and Mary Ann Hackett, brothers Ray (Frances), Pat and Ben (Cedella); sisters Dorothy (Timothy) Quigley, Frances (Lesley) Pennell, son-in-law Brian O’Keefe and grandchild Nancy Companion. A special Thank you to the nurses on the 3rd floor of Western Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, December 12th at 10:30 AM from Our Lady Star of the Sea, Benoits Cove, with Father Jim Robertson officiating. The interment will follow at the Church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish in Benoits Cove.
