It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joan (Brake) Gintautas announce her passing on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the age of 77 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her two sons: Peter and Raymond Gintautas; sisters: Gladys (Gary) Hann and Julie (Fraser) Eaton; brothers: Bill (Patsy) Brake, and Brian (Carolann) Brake; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Joan was predeceased by her husband Peter Gintautas; Parents Rachel and William Brake; sister  Marion (Brake) and Ken Roul, brother in-law David Vardy, niece Selena and nephew Bill. Visitation will take place from Fillatre’s Funeral Home 218 Curling Street on Monday, December 16th from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 P.m. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, December 17th at 10:30 a.m. from Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Curling Street with Father Jim Robertson officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
