Darren Murrin 1965 - 2019 Darren Murrin of Cox’s Cove born October 11, 1965, passed away on December 17, 2019 after a long battle with lung cancer. Leaving behind his son Brandon Murrin and wife Amy; his common law wife Christi Plant. Darren is also leaving behind 6 siblings: Rick (Mary)Murrin, Norma (Lorne), Marlene (Terry), Darlene, Nicole (Christopher)Patton and Lance (Jessica); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by his parents Mathias and Shirley Murrin, sister Nova Lee and brothers Perry and Wade. Darren was heavily into sports he played hockey, darts, baseball and just about anything else he could fit into his busy work life. Darren retired from Toyota Manufacturing in Cambridge, Ontario in September 2019 after 30 years, and moved home to Cox’s Cove, NL to enjoy his retirement. A big thank you to the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit, Western Memorial Regional Hospital. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Saturday, December 21 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Cremation to follow with no formal funeral service at this time. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
