Please share a memory of Ramona to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
With profound sadness, the Ball Family announces, the death of Ramona “Rae” (Noel) Ball at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in St. John’s, NL on December 20th, 2019 at the age of 75.
Ramona was born to Isobel and Earl Noel at St. Clare’s Hospital in St. John’s, NL on April 2, 1944. She grew up with her family in Harbour Grace.
Upon completion of High School, she attended MUN, taught one year in St. Lawrence, then moved to teach at Immaculate Conception in Deer Lake. She retired in 1993 after years of joyful camaraderie amongst a great staff and the opportunities to teach many wonderful students. Due to the end of the denominational system, Ramona was assigned to Elwood Elementary where she spent one and half years before retiring.
Ramona married Ward (June) Ball of Deer Lake August 5th, 1967 at Immaculate Conception Cathedral in Harbour Grace. They raised two wonderful, dearly loved children: Vicki Ibson of St. John’s and Michael (Melinda) Ball of Deer Lake. To add special joy, Vicki presented her parents with a beautiful angel, Olivia Noelle Ibson, on September 22nd, 2004. Ramona became a Nana and Olivia is the “SUNSHINE”. Ramona was the eldest of 5 siblings: Ruth (Robert) Lanneau, Texas; Rosemary (Mike) Kane, New Brunswick; Paula (Reuben) Perry, Deer Lake; Peter (Brenda) Noel, St. John's. May their memories of life together be happy ones. We also remember Ward's surviving siblings: Ivan (Gareen) Ball, BC; Delcie (Ball) Parsons, Toronto; Harold Ball, Deer Lake; Grace Critch, Pasadena; Eleanor Ball, Deer Lake. In addition, there is a very large number of nephews, nieces and cousins who are very close to the family.
At the time, we also lovingly think of those family members whom God has already called home: Mom and Dad Noel, Nanny and Poppy Ball, Ralph and Eileen Ball, Dempsey and Yvonne Ball, Rowena Ball, Mona and Roy Campbell, Cecil Parson, Jabez Critch. May they rest in peace.
To each and all who helped during this difficult time, Thank-you sincerely, and “May God hold you in the Palm of His Hand.”
In lieu of flowers donations may made to Daffodil Place or Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Foundation.
