Vera Rosetta Walsh (nee Parsons) Norris Point, NL April 26, 1937 – December 25, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Vera Rosetta Walsh announce her passing on Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point at the age of 82 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Ralph (Suzette), Keith (Wanda), Isaac (Laurel), Glen and Mabel (Mich); grandchildren: Rocky, Robert, Jeffrey (Megan), Kayla, Stephen, Brooke and Kianna; great-grandchildren: Keira, Paris, Trae, Mercedez, Quinn and Archer; brothers and sisters: Clifford (Gloria), Charles (Carrie), Milton, Ivan (Simone), Lyman (Debbie), Leah (Chris), Verna and Ross; sisters-in-law: Bess, Mackenzie, Catharine (Maxwell), Sarah (Heber) and Mary; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Stephen, Parents Roy and Mabel, brothers Melvin, Cecil and Wilfred, parents-in-law Isaac and Ester, brothers-in-law Lorne, Thomas, James, Wallace and Carson, stepson Derek Kennedy. The family will receive friends from Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Wilhelmina Green officiating. Cremation to follow. My Mom She never looked for praises, She was never one to boast. She just went on quietly working, For those she loved the most. Her dreams were seldom spooked, Her wants were very few. And most of the time her worries, Would go unspoken to. She was there a firm foundation, Through all our storms of life. A sturdy hand to hold, In times of stress and strife. A true friend we could turn to, When times were good and bad. One of our greatest blessing, Was the woman we called our mom.
