Annie E. Hilliard (nee Mitchell) September 17, 1928 – January 5, 2020 It is with great sadness that the family of the late Annie E. Hilliard announce her passing on Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age o 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: David Hilliard, Dianne Bugden (Craig), Linda Payne (Scott) and Kimberley Strickland (Curtis); grandchildren: Mark Hilliard (Stephanie), Rhonda Robson, Carla Whittier (Conrad), Stephen Bugden (Kelly), Bradley Payne (Tracey), Blair Payne (Nona), Neil (Kelly) and Andrew Strickland; great-grandchildren: Carson and Olivia Hilliard, Josh and Kerstin Robson, Claire and Max Whittier, Makayla, Anna and Maria Bugden, Emily, Evan, Avery and Aaron Payne, Keegan and Thomas Strickland; sister Wilhelmina Osmond; sister-in-law Joan Mitchell; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William Hilliard, daughter-in-law Vera Hilliard, parents William and Emily Mitchell, sister Alma Allen (James), brothers Leslie Mitchell (Renee), Jerry Mitchell (Jeanette) and Maxwell Mitchell, brother-in-law William Osmond. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Curling Street with Rev. Alice Moores officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
